A SENTIMENTAL CATHOLIC CEREMONY WITH MARBLE WALLS & LOTS OF MISTY-EYED MOMENTS
Sometimes you have a tiny corner of a crowded room to put on the dress, but as soon as you get everyone out & get that gown on,
it feels real.
All of Sam’s bridesmaids were extremely close to her, and you could tell by their reaction as they saw her walk down the stairs of their adorable Airbnb.
It’s the bear hugs from really little brothers for me (catch me tearing up here)!!
Give me all the marble! St. Joseph’s is a beautiful church (and meaningful to me too! It’s sort of the unofficial hub for people who do or did NET ministries, like me and my hubby), and the guests at this wedding were clearly as happy as could be for this couple. But my favorite part was easily watching Andrew’s face when his bride walked to him.
There were so many special ceremony moments, smiles and giggles from the couple, beautiful green marble behind them as they said their vows, and a bunch of supportive love as they did a
post-ceremony bubble exit.
And of course, had to set aside time for some fun portraits with their wedding party!
After our portraits were finished, the entire evening was filled with a soft pink sunset, lots of hanging lights, and extra emotional first dances! Sam’s father even set up a slideshow with a video of them dancing when she was a toddler, and they danced to that same song.
And yes, I cried at this too, since all I could imagine is my little toddler girl and husband having their father daughter dance in twenty or thirty years. Then, the entire room filled the dance floor for a super fun party with all kinds of kids running between the groups of adults.
We ended the night taking sunset portraits just outside of the reception venue under the glowy skies. The couple was clearly filled with peace and total bliss!
