Every so often, a wedding day will go perfectly and have no errors, and this was luckily one of those days! It helped that
Jordyn was the absolute most relaxed
person on the planet that day too. We began the getting ready process in a simple room in the church basement. Jordyn was surrounded by all of her friends, all of whom were so kind to me.
The couple had a brief first look before walking into their ceremony where friends and family crowded the pews.
Their Catholic ceremony & mass was clean, traditional, and heart-felt – even the constant jokes about Henry from the priest, who was one of his close friends.
St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center was a beauty! Can you believe it was only rebuilt in 2017!? It was filled to the brim with crazy detailed mosaics and paintings, gorgeous patterned wallpaper, and marble pillars from front to back.
When Jordyn & Henry had first reached out to me, they mentioned that *all* they wanted was for me to
capture the truth, beauty, and goodness of the sacrament in a reverent way,
which was easy considering how prayerful and caring they were in setting up this day.
To get to the reception, all we had to do was walk upstairs! St. Paul’s Catholic student center was built to accommodate all kinds of events, and their small upstairs ballroom with a rooftop patio was perfect for a night of conversation, silly dancing, and amazing cupcakes.
But oh… let me not forget the
sunset session!!
The newlyweds followed me around as we paraded the University of Wisconsin Madison campus and took photos in every possible area, including lakeside! The stunning buildings with their massive stairs and pillars were only accentuating the beauty of this bride and groom and sending our hearts into total excitement about these photos.
Jordyn & Henry – congratulations! May your hearts continue to love each other and your demeanors be as peaceful and joyful as they were on the day of your wedding.
