FOCUS MIssionaries, THE VERANDA orchard reception + so many smiles
bridget + efrain
So here we are, at my very first Sioux Falls wedding ever, after moving here about 6 months prior! And it was a wonderful way to start my season out here locally. Bridget & Efrain met at FOCUS staff training as they prepared to be missionaries, and were obviously holy as soon as I met them both. The morning was full of moments of prayer, from their early morning holy hour before getting ready, to them praying with their respective wedding parties, to praying together without seeing each other shortly before their ceremony.
Bridget’s joy was something Efrain brought up in one of the questionnaires they filled out early on after booking with me, and it became so apparent as she lit up the room that morning in the getting ready space after getting her soft lace gown on from Bridal Gallery Sioux Falls.
The ceremony was full of emotion, reverence, and worship, as these two locked eyes and kept their attention united on the mass. They also had a priest come up from Kansas to marry them who they had known from their missionary work. It’s always fun hearing a homily from a priest who knows the couple well and still preaches about the gospel that they chose for their nuptial mass at St. Lambert’s in Sioux Falls, SD.
This couple chose to do a tradition where a large rosary is hung around both of them, connecting them to each other & Our Lady.
As soon as the mass was done and we did some portraits in the church + family photos, we headed to The Veranda, a short drive south of Sioux Falls, to have their reception and take some gorgeous couple photos & wedding party shots in the green trees at The veranda.
THE VERANDA
This open walled barn was the perfect space for this large wedding! Tons of natural light, pine chairs & ceilings, and eucalyptus and baby’s breath table settings made this venue feel like a classic, pretty space with a side of elegance. The yard even had a huge open area with a fire pit, game area, and orchards. Although I only stayed through the first dances of this wedding, it was a beautiful reception space that I can’t wait to go back to!
Congratulations to Bridget & Efrain! I hope the first few weeks of marriage have been full of peace and joy. Cheers!
