ROMANTIC FALL WEDDING IN MINNESOTA AT HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE CROWN ROOM RECEPTION VENUE.
Grace and Peter first crossed paths at Benedictine College in 2011 and started dating a year later. They actually broke up and went their separate ways later that same year, but they reconnected at a wedding in 2022, where, as they say, “the sparks were soaring.” The very next day, Peter asked Grace out, and the rest is history. It’s amazing how the Lord’s timing works, and they are both incredibly grateful to have found each other once again.
The girls got ready at Grace’s family’s Airbnb, while the guys got ready at the church.
Grace and Peter shared their first touch around a corner in the stunning church, where they exchanged heartfelt letters to one another. It was an incredibly beautiful scene, set against the backdrop of the Holy Family and Divine Mercy, adding a profound sense of grace to their special moment.
When I asked Grace and Peter what their unique vision for their wedding day was, their response was touching:
“We are very much enraptured by the beauty and holiness of the sacramental commitment to each other we are about to make. We want to be a witness to others of how beautiful this sacrament can be and the truest deepest purest love that God intended everyone of us human beings to experience. And we are probably most excited about preparing for a future life with our best friend and soulmate.”
After the ceremony, the bridal party hopped in the party bus and stopped for some photos before heading to the reception at The Crown Room.
If I could describe the type of love these two have, it’s one of patience and passion. Sometimes mid-conversation they end up in a hug or sharing a couple of sweet, tiny kisses & you can tell that the joy that their hearts have in being reunited is absolutely the strongest kind.
Super fun fact: Grace’s second cousin, Laurie Haluska designed her dress – she is an amazing seamstress and actually sewed Luke Skywalker’s costume in one of the original Star Wars films!
Peter’s brother’s speech had a majority of the room crying as he complimented Peter’s leadership in his family, strength of heart, and humility.
I left this wedding thanking them from the bottom of my heart for their example of virtue as my voice cracked and my eyes continued to rim with tears. I am not exaggerating when I say that I am HONORED beyond words to know so many people who have faith so great and so pure and so humble.
