HOLY, CATHOLIC WEDDING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI NEWMAN CENTER IN OHIO FEATURING DUSTY PINKS & A LIVE BAND

Alyssa and Jack had their first date when they were both attending Siena College. They went to a cafe in Albany and spent over three hours there just enjoying each other’s presence. Their wedding at the University of Cincinnati Newman Center was such a holy day.

I firmly believe I will forever be obsessed with all the little details of this Cincinnati wedding. Not just because of the gorgeous dusty pinks that kept popping up throughout the day but also because of the design on Alyssa & Jack’s wedding rings and the wax seal on the invitations.

Alyssa got ready with Becky Gosney doing her hair and Meg Valentine on her makeup. Her bridesmaids wore the cutest pink floral pajamas!

She slipped into her dress, and I have to say this is one of my absolute favorites from 2024. The lace detail along with the way the sleeves float on her arms is gorgeous. To top it off she added the Romeo & Juliet Veil from Bridal and Formal in Cincinnati.

100 days before their wedding, Alyssa started to write Jack letters in secret. She wanted Jack to be able to open 100 letters telling of her love and devotion to him. 🥺🤍 Talk about a saintly love.

THE CEREMONY

Their wedding mass was held at the University of Cincinnati Newman Center, also called the St. Monica St. George Parish Newman Center. The bride’s nephews were the ring bearers – they were adorable.

Father delivered a homily that had everyone cracking up… the entire time. It is so sweet seeing when the bride & groom have great relationships with their priests.

Here comes one of the most precious moments of the day – the celebration after the bride and groom’s first kiss as husband and wife. ☺️

Alyssa, in this dress, spinning around like the happiest bride in the world makes my heart so happy.

Early on in the planning process, Alyssa told me she wanted a smooth wedding day, as everyone does, but her main priority was to “enjoy the sacrament and have fun with our loved ones in the moment.” I think she got her wish. 🥺🤍

After some photos of the bridal party, everyone hopped on the party bus to head to a bar and grab a quick drink. Moments like this are always great to include on a wedding day to allow everyone to relax before the big reception party.

Their wedding cake had pops of that dusty pink color and intricate details hand frosted on by The Bon Bonerie based in Cincinnati. Alyssa’s mom and sister both got their wedding cakes from this same bakery, so you could say it has become a family tradition.

Alyssa and Jack’s entrance into their reception was so fun. All the cheers, smiles, and even more spins.

And then the first dance… with a little extra surprise from Jack.

If you want a killer dance floor, just hire the bride’s second cousin, Shawn McCoy, and his band. You won’t be able to stop the dance party.

CONGRATULATIONS ALYSSA & JACK!
