CLASSY, INTENTIONAL CATHOLIC WEDDING WITH DUSTY BLUES AND A JOYFUL RECEPTION
Emma and Toby met when they were “just two little teenagers”. Toby had transferred to Emma’s high school and happened to sit right behind her in accounting class (although their business teacher admitted to orchestrating the entire seating chart; way to set up a vocation). They went on their first date at Old No. 1 (which is actually their reception venue!!). Sparks flew, long distance was had, and after four years of dating, Toby asked Emma to marry him at their favorite date spot in Kansas City. Emma and Toby rented out Inherit Loft for their morning portraits and I just have to say this is one of the most genius ideas for a winter wedding. They had a first look and we even did some portraits before stepping into bridal party photos. These two highschool sweethearts were just glowing in the winter window light!
Now onto the wedding ceremony for these high school sweethearts Catholic Wedding at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Where Toby cried while Emma walked down the aisle (even after being together since high school).
Highly recommend having your wedding reception at the same little spot you had your very first date at years earlier in high school.
Fun fact: these two chose to give a custom little tambourine to each guest to shake at the reception to get the couple to kiss. Those things were getting shaken every few minutes lol.
To end off the night, we took a couple of portraits in the booth where Emma and Toby had their first date. Aren’t they just the sweetest high school sweethearts?!
