SPLURGE A BIT ON YOUR PAPER OR SUITES. YOU WON’T REGRET IT.
Here are some of the stunning flat lays I’ve been sneakily mentioning for so long on my Instagram because it’s a VIBE! Read on because I have some things to say about stationery.
So, for all the couples out there getting married soon: I highly recommend splurging on some paper for your wedding. I know it’s a lot to think about, but if you’re the type of person who loves intricacy, details, and/or texture/physical touch/holding art, it’s so worth it. Invitation suites are so amazing and customizable, custom menus make your tablescapes look just magical, and even small details like wax-sealed envelopes give an elegant sparkle to your set.
If you don’t want to budget for all of that, I truly understand (message me and ask about my wedding budget because we were thrifty kids). Here are some really cool alternatives to get the magic in your hands & in the photos, but without the big dollar signs:
-
Order 2-3 really detailed luxury sets of invites just for yourselves. Hang them on your fridge while you’re engaged, get them photographed the day of, and frame them afterward.
-
Order a few special menus for just the head table instead of the entire room, or frame 2 menus per table instead of leaving one at each chair.
-
Buy some gorgeous paper (search “deckled edged paper” on Etsy for example) and print your own so that the paper gives them the ultra pleasing and high-end look.

Photographing flat lays and details is one of my favorite parts about wedding days. I love capturing the little memories of your day so you can enjoy them forever. Definitely keep in mind the tips I mention above when thinking about your stationery. There’s always a way to stay within your budget while having a beautiful invitation suite!
