Say hello to a tropical wedding in December
Yes, December. Not only was it warm enough to shoot these photos (though not quite warm enough to swim), it was lovely. Cili at Bali Hai is an absolute Oasis in the Desert!
If you missed part one of this blog, you can find it here. Cili at Bali Hai is a golf course venue with tons of palms and a sandy beach, just 10 minutes from the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. This venue has a huge ballroom, an outdoor patio, another room with glass doors that can be opened completely,
and a beach (with a perfect view of the sunset).
This venue is one of the coolest I’ve seen in Vegas so far, and was so fun to dress up with all of our decor, an arch, and more. Cactus Canyon Events, an elopement and micro-wedding planner and designer, and Lively Bloom, who did all the floral arrangements, made the decor at this shoot an absolute dream. They truly made my vision come to life, and worked perfectly with each venue to create stunning Tablescapes, an arch, and a bunch of beautiful little details.
Our two couples continued to show off their love in front of the cameras – oh yeah, there were five photographers & one videographer. having more than one set of model couples is always fun, because each couple is so different and will feel different to pose, prompt, and capture. Crystal and travis (engaged) were so sweet, silly, and affectionate. Rolyssa and john paul (newlyweds) were smitten with each other, intense, and warm.
It’s important to remember that in these shoots, we use real people to model. These are young adults who are in love, just like my real clients. Sometimes when I show people these shoots, they feel insecure that they won’t end up having the same type of emotions show through in the photos, or that they won’t look as flattering. But you WILL, because it’s my mission to make that happen for you, no matter how many times you tell me that you two are camera shy.
Once we took a golf cart to the beach, we were all in heaven. Wide open spaces are perfect for couple’s sessions, so there’s room to spin around, dance, and show off your joy.
