Maria & Einar’s Maternity Session at Mount Charleston
this session was an absolutely stunning (and slightly chilly) adventure. Maria wore two different gorgeous flowy dresses, and there were cheeky smiles each time we referred to Maria’s “belly” or “bump” or “the baby”. maria & einar let me take them up into the mountains and we found this perfect spot, with snowy mountains in the background and springy buds around our feet.
The giraffe print dress that Maria wore was literally perfect for this setting, and it drew out the warm colors from all over the greenery and in the mountainsides. If you’ve ever desired to do a mountaintop shoot like this, please don’t let the wind stop you. There was a breeze running through almost the entire time at this location, and it only made everything that much more whimsical and candid.
After the sun set, we continued to take photos like this one above, letting the gray-blue sky take over and soften everything around. Maria and Einar even did a couple of quick little jogs for me to spice up the photos!
Not only was this a special documentative session of their pregnancy and journey to becoming parents, but a celebration of their engagement too, which had happened the morning of this shoot on a sweet picnic.
And it was even a surprise to me! I got to document this perfect ring, Maria’s perfect pregnancy bump, and the perfect J O Y of both occasions.
