CATHOLIC OHIO WEDDING FEATURING PRAISE & WORSHIP AND GARDEN PARTY FARM RECEPTION | ABBY + SEPH

weddings

Abby & Sephs wedding was immaculate from start to finish. Everything was so beautiful curated and on theme. Abby wanted a garden party, and they invited all their guests to wear pastel tones and florals to enhance it even more. They are a Damascus couple, which is a ministry that offers camps, retreats, and resources to help young people more fully live the adventure of the Catholic faith.

Neither of them had ever gone on a date with anyone else and after dating for a few months, they broke up, and then were on again, off again a couple times over three and a half years.

From Abby: “It has been a long time coming and we are beyond grateful that what the enemy meant to harm us, Jesus used for good in this relationship!! He is so faithful and I feel like we laugh about how stupid it is that after everything, it worked out, and we have a healthy and holy relationship amidst all the up and downs. Baby Abby and Joseph would have been in disbelief to know something so good could exist!”

The details and flat lay spoke loudly here with the enchanted summer garden party vibe, and the girls even made their bouquets the day before with flowers from the farmers market.

Abby & her maids and sisters started by getting ready at her parents property, which was also where the tented reception would be held that evening. This farm house was where Abby grew up and played and was schooled.

Wearing grandma’s pearl choker (swoon)!

We headed to St. John Neumann and the ladies and guys separately prayed in the chapel together, where Abby prayed as closely to the tabernacle as she could.

Seph is an aspiring musician with incredible worship music, check him out! His brother and sister are also two people you’ll want to check out for inspiration in living out your faith!

Just before the ceremony, Abby & Seph prayed around a corner together, and their prayers were full of peace, calm, and excitement to seek The Father all throughout their day.

Finally it was ceremony time. This ceremony was one of worship, holy tears, and reverence.

I absolutely love that these two said their vows while holding a crucifix. It’s such a beautiful visual of the call of the wedding vows that they can take home and hang in their living space to serve as a constant reminder of their vocation.

This was one of my top few favorite moments of the day, with Abby softly crying while praising her heart out next to the love of her life.

After spending a few moments soaking up the fact that they were married, these two had an adorable bubble exit complete with bubble guns to add even more magic.

We headed to another church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish, to take portraits against the lovely stone and roses before heading to Abby’s family farm for more wedding party and couple photos in the very fields where Abby played as a little girl.

Abby’s hair was uniquely pinned up in the back so that after the ceremony, she could add cinderella sleeves to her dress and take the lower half of her hair down!

Confetti and charcuterie welcomed us into the reception that was perfectly styled and bright and summery.

This sunset session is extremely memorable to me because of the significance of this location too. This farm is where Abby played in the fields as a child and now she’s running around them with her brand new husband at sunset; and the smiles were huge & the music was sweet & heaven was echoing it all.

We headed out into the pastures and Queen Anne’s Lace flowers blew softly in the breeze. Everything was just sweeter than I could even believe.

These two had their guestbook be a bible to display in their family home, where they invited guests to highlight favorite verses and write messages and prayers.

After a foot washing ceremony, the dances were underway!

When Seph was a young teen, he decided to fast from chocolate for his future bride – until his actual wedding day. A way of growing his heart by detachment and as a powerful prayer. Ten years later, enter Abby, whose *favorite food is chocolate*. For their wedding dessert, they had a massive table full of options to dip into a flowing chocolate fountain. And the results were about as funny and adorable as you’d imagine. But the purpose behind it all is even stronger than a photo of the moment, and this story gave me a desire to fast for my loved ones, especially my little girls & husband.

Seph and Abby decided to end their reception in a truly unconventional way. With worship.

Seph led a few songs before his dad took over to lead everyone in praying “The Blessing” over the newlyweds and all the hearts in the room were full.

A short, sparkly exit to their car and cheers ended this night in the most joyful way.

Cheers to Seph & Abby and their love that so beautifully reflects the love of Jesus!
