THREE HOURS OF ROAMING & HIKING INTO A PERFECT SORBET SUNSET IN THE RED-ORANGE DESERT VALLEY
Allie and Jake found me a while back, and we took their engagement photos several months prior in the dry lake beds. After having a traditional ceremony and laid-back reception,
Allie and Jake got all dressed up again to come back with me and take a road trip to get some beautiful photos taken for their wedding! The best part is that this shoot was almost like a styled shoot since we had unlimited time for portraits, a bouquet made by Nikayla & Co Gardens, and a perfect day planned to do it all.
The most incredible part of this shoot is that the sky is so HUGE behind everything when you’re shooting out in the middle of nowhere. The blueness of the sky makes the red and orange earth appear even more saturated, making Allie & Jake in their black and white pop perfectly. Speaking of outfits… Allie wore a gorgeous full sleeve lace gown, nicely contrasting the textures in the landscape, and Jake wore a black suit with a
burnt orange tie that he made himself!
At the end of the shoot, we even had the luck of seeing a mountain goat on our way out!
All in all, it was worth braving the summer heat in the desert to get these perfect shots of a sweet, young couple in love.
Congratulations, Allie & Jake!
