MINNESOTA SMALL TOWN CATHOLIC WEDDING AT ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH AND CANON RIVER WINERY FEATURING DRIED FLOWERS, PEARLS, AND SOFT COLOR THEME.
Anna and Sam were both in the wedding parties of couples I had shot prior to them booking me. Anna was the best type of client, having full trust in me and just excited to see what I wanted to create with what she had. It was SUCH a beautiful day!
The word of the day was “pearls”. The wedding band (WHAT!!), veil, earrings, and more! And it was SO classy and perfect.
Her soft bow shoes were one of my favorite elements too! So comfy but so elegant.
Once I posted these on Instagram, like 6 people asked me where she got her incredible dress with the bishop sleeves. It was definitely adored on her wedding day too.
The solos of Anna in the church came out of us just having extra time in the morning, and I’m so glad that’s what we used it for. The stained glass and stairs in this beautiful little church made for perfect, relaxed bridal portraits.
We grabbed a few separate bridal party photos before the ceremony near the church.
After getting ready, these two prayed together without seeing each other right in the middle of the church and all I could think is how great their marriage would be.
This ceremony was filled with beauty at every turn as the church seemed to be filled with angels and the Holy Spirit, and a large wedding party who were clearly so full of reverence and love for their friends.
We headed to a nearby park for more portraits and ended up getting them all done somehow before it started absolutely pouring on our way back to the car.
I made the boutonnieres and bouquets for this wedding. They were completely dried and were SOOO fun to make because they were so dainty and unique. The soft color scheme and dried bits felt so perfect for a September wedding. Anna wanted small bouquets and 100% of it was able to be ordered on Amazon or at Hobby Lobby since it was all dry.
More dried flowers and baby’s breath decorated this winery with it’s gorgeous woodwork and high ceilings, and these beautiful taper candles!
I love these secret candids of Anna & Sam waiting to be let into the reception space just being enamored with each other.
This sunset session may have been one of my favorites to date! Not only did we get pretty lucky with the sky having some color after a big rainstorm, but the location had a perfect tree-filled skyline and this couple was so happy-go-lucky that they were just running and dancing around freely and enjoying themselves 100%.
This small town church and small downtown upstairs wine venue was such a perfect combo! It’s easy to think that you have to get married in a super city-central venue to get something this stylish, but this was truly a gem in a little town!
Dancing and happy memories filled the night before my assistant (xo) and I headed out for the evening.
Congrats to Sam & Anna and their love that will very clearly last a lifetime!
