BRIGHT MORNING WEDDING + DAYTIME RECEPTION IN THE CHURCH HALL + REGAL COUPLE’S SESSION

XAVIER + THERESE GRACE

Shooting another wedding at this familiar parish was heartwarming, to say the least. I got to travel back to Las Vegas (and brought both my little girls) to photograph this wedding, and

although guests had to wake up earlier than usual for their morning ceremony, their nuptial mass at St Anthony was full of happy guests and excited friends.

Before we get there, let’s talk details! Tweegee had emailed me excitedly about flat lays and detail photos and was happy to put together a detail box [link my last reel about details/flat lays here] for me to take aside that morning and take photos of. It seems small, but this is the best way to help tell your wedding day story and remember the little things, like the perfume you used.

After doing detail photos and taking more lovely ones of Tweegee putting on her accessories and veil with her bridesmaids, we headed outside for their first look, complete with the bride’s fuzzy pink coat. My second shooter had Xavier outside already prepped so that he was facing away and wouldn’t see his bride a moment too soon.

These two emit joy and giddiness like no one I’ve ever met! And that joy showed itself completely in their first look.

We quickly went inside and the party lined up while we got ready in the church. 15 minutes later, their ceremony began. A prayerful and pious, but joyful (how many times can I say that? But literally it’s the perfect word) couple made their way to the front of the church as we heard the readings and finally got to listen to the couple say their vows.

They also did the beautiful tradition of the cord and veil, coming from both of their backgrounds, and their sponsor couple was honored as the ones to wrap them with the rosary and veil.

The ceremony ended, and family photos and formal church portraits followed.

We made our way outside for bridal party photos in the bright sunlight (and found some chilly shade) and had AMPLE time for couple’s photos, leaving us with a bunch of poses and fun dancing and intimate veil shots.

I’ve only had a few weddings that had morning ceremonies + lunch receptions, but it is honestly so refreshing and gives everyone a huge afternoon/evening break after a massive celebration.

That evening, everyone met back up for arcade games and drinks! So, a wedding, reception, siesta, and a party? Yes, please.

This sweet and bright reception and dancing finished with an exit and homemade wands with tassels!

Happiest wishes to this bride and groom and all their endeavors! Cheers, Tweegee & Xavier.
