A GUIDE TO DESIGNING YOUR WEDDING FLAT-LAY FROM NIKAYLA & CO.

Deciding what details to include in a wedding flat-lay can be difficult. In my bride guide (that every Nikayla & Co. bride receives), I include a tidbit of information about what is most commonly used and what I recommend bringing. Overall, anything that you feel is special to your wedding day can be included!

Some items I recommend including in your wedding flat-lay:
- stationary or paper suite
- the rings (3)
- other jewelry
- your bouquet or loose blooms
- other accessories such as perfume
- prayer cards and sentimental items
- a rosary
- extra styling items such as ribbon

One of my couples had the great idea of using a trinket dish with their initials on it and I just love that. Any way you can make your flat-lays personalized to you I am always down for it!

I also do have a little hot take I’d like to throw in here: you don’t have to use the same invitations you sent your guests. If you like the flat lay styles but don’t want to spend tons of cash on invitations (one of the biggest elements of the flat lay), order a few expensive, remarkable sets of specialized invitation suites to use for photos and a special keepsake of your own for a keepsake box, scrapbook, etc. If you’re looking for recommendations, my favorite stationary is Pieta Paper Company or Basic Invite.

HAPPY WEDDING PLANNING!
