AN EMOTIONAL WINTER SIOUX FALLS WEDDING DAY CELEBRATING TWO HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS AT CHRIST THE KING CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE ATRIUM AT BLUE HAVEN
Addie and Matthew both met each other when they were just little high schoolers, and after years of dating and long distance throughout college, they finally tied the knot! From love letters to dancing under the candlelight glow, this day truly was a treat. These two are so in love and it was so sweet to behold.
The guys and the gals started their day at The Atrium at Blue Haven. It was my first time being at this venue that is practically in my backyard and it is so stunning! I was in love with the green velvet couch that tied so perfectly with Addie + Matthew’s sweet details. Addie slipped into her dress, read a letter that Matthew had left for her, and had all of her best friends pray over her before she was about to become a wife. Needless to say there was no shortage of tears.
We snapped a few bridal party photos before heading to the church. The emerald green, fur coats, and fresh dusting of snow combo was perfection.
Addie & Matthew opted to not see each other before the ceremony, and I always love when my couples incorporate other ways to spend time together before their nuptial mass starts. A prayer together and hearing your best friend’s voice before you’ve seen each other as bride & groom is something truly special. Followed by a beautiful ceremony at Christ the King Catholic Church – it was such a treat to be in my home parish!

Addie & Matthew’s reception at The Atrium by Blue Haven was a joyous one. They incorporated so many fun trends into their night like a Jenga guestbook, a photo wall of their married loved ones, and they even had both of their mom’s wedding dresses on display! Followed by a dance floor that was full the entire night. It truly was a perfect winter Sioux Falls wedding day.
