EVENING GOLDEN HOUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS IN THE DESERT WITH PLENTY OF DANCING AND UNIQUE POSING
Steph and Evan met me in the desert and were immediately smiling and excited for their session. However, they did mention that they are awkward in photos, as *everyone* does! The most important thing when you feel awkward about your session is to really dive into the moment. Look at your partner, and think about them and the best moments of your relationship (and the upcoming exciting things too).
Dance with your person and as I say so often, “just be in love”.
Maybe it’s the romantic in me, but it’s so fun to me to watch a couple slowly loosen up as our shoot goes along. After 10 minutes, most couples are having the time of their lives, and the entire thing ends up feeling like a date. We even got to try some fun posing in this session, which requires some trust in your photographer, because it’s not always easy to see how the final product will turn out!
We hiked up the side of a hill and could see some red tinged rocks in the background.
I made sure to get some really wide shots of this portion, because the landscape here is almost as gorgeous as these soon-to-be-newlyweds.
My favorite part of this session is the amount of black and white photos that I ended up editing from it. This textured landscape with the outfit choices here was just PERFECT for the contrast that comes from b&w photo editing.
