SUNSET PHOTOS AT THE VENETIAN + FLASH PHOTOS AND LIGHTS AT THE M.O.D.S.

Okay, so there’s this place called the Museum of Dream Space (MODS)… and it was epic. As Monique and I chatted about where they wanted their engagement session done, she brought up wanting something unique & liking that old vintage flash look that’s really in right now. I was so up for this, and we sent locations back and forth to look at.
The last several months, I’ve really focused on creating unique engagement shoot experiences for my couples, so that these photos aren’t just of the two of them smiling into my camera in a nice set of clothes, but an incredible date that will always be memorable.
The “MODS” was in the Venetian with a bunch of rooms to walk through that had eccentric lighting and colorful props, many of which were hanging from the ceilings. The first room was full of hanging lights behind the couple, as they danced, laughed, and twirled in Monique’s adorable maxi dress.
After the gold room, there was a room with colorful light bulbs hanging from the ceiling at varying lengths, another room with colored orbs all over, a pink floral wall, and more. These rooms were versatile and had SUCH fun lighting (however, a note to photographers – do bring your flash!!) to work in.
My favorite room of all was the one with a huge image of the moon projected onto a wall. Not only did it look cool in camera, but it looked amazing *projecting onto the couple* and reminded me of a project that I did way back in college projecting images onto myself to take photos (check them out here & here).
Not only was this room my favorite to see in person, but the photos turned out incredible as well.
Finally, we ran around the Venetian’s great room and main entryway and then just outside on the steps for a few photos in more natural lighting, where Monique & Dash absolutely *killed it*, looking like two stars in love.
