An elegant and authentic Utah Catholic Wedding with the dreamiest backyard reception & a deep reverence for the Holy Family.
These two high school sweethearts started dating on their very last day of high school – clearly it was the Lord’s providence because their paths weren’t meant to go separate ways. It all led to this day with teary vows to a private last dance in a dreamy backyard reception.
No detail throughout the day was left un-noticed. The L & M on Molly’s nails?! It was such a fun detail and truly a sneak peek into the thoughtfulness of the little things throughout the day.
Molly and her girls got ready together and they were all so giddy and happy for Molly, it was a sight to behold (and how could we not include furry friends!).
The cherry on top of the morning? Lawson tearing up at the sight of his bride.
Also a fun note from throughout the day: Molly & Lawson had content creators, instead of a traditional wedding videoagraphers. These gals at Reverie BTS Co. were so fun to work with and I hope I have the chance to work with them again!
Molly & Lawson choose to enter their mass together. This is actually a traditional Catholic custom for the bride and the groom to enter the church together, instead of the common practice of the bride entering with her father. This tradition comes from the fact that the couple actually marries themselves during a nuptial mass when they say their vows with the priest presiding over the ceremony as a witness for the church and state!
These two had a beautiful mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and sweet Molly had tears after receiving communion for the first time as husband and wife.
After communion Molly & Lawson also chose to honor the Holy Family. Now a new family themselves, it was such a sweet reflection of the love between Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
Onto a dreamy night and if you haven’t caught on by now, I am a big fan of these two and Utah. The backyard was filled with beautiful landscaping and stunning brickwork. However, the best views were when Lawson & Molly looked at each other with so much gratitude that they got to marry each other that day. Molly & Lawson also stayed up until 2 am the night before their wedding baking desserts for all their guests and their wedding cake – they were absolutely sensational. Molly’s friends kept complimenting her as the best baker they knew! A final private dance and a bubble send off to wish these two a merry married life!
