CATHOLIC WEDDING IN ITALY WITH A MONASTERY CEREMONY, BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN COUNTRYSIDE AND FLOWER FIELD PORTRAITS, AND A CLASSIC ITALIAN RECEPTION WITH 5 COURSE MEAL.

A dream come true to book a wedding in ITALY. Gloria and Tobias are such faith-filled people (Tobias is a recent convert) and they saw their wedding day as an opportunity to evangelize to those who had not yet met Jesus (as many of their guests were not Christian/Catholic). Gloria is from Italian, and they had their ceremony in a small monastery near Rome.

In true Italian fashion, nothing was on schedule and so photos sometimes took a backseat. Amidst the serving and coordinating of so many people getting to the correct town for the wedding, Gloria was 40 minutes late to the Mass. Needless to say we had little time for getting ready, but we made the most of it!

⁠Gloria had told us on Friday that the past week she had been praying for good weather and beautiful sun. She was struck during their holy hour that she shouldn’t be praying for that but for the conversion of her guests instead – that grace would pour into their hearts, that they would be open to Him.

The portraits with them in the gardens after Mass was INCREDIBLE. We could not have asked for better lighting, weather, and holy cow those two were SO natural in front of the camera.

Toby took such delicate and intentional care of his bride. He saw her need before she did and it was joyful tears to watch.

The flower field was ALL God – literally right outside the venue and they had no idea they would be there. Also, Gloria drew her and Toby in a field with red flowers for their wedding invitation having no idea she’d get to actually prance in a field just like what she drew!

At the reception, they literally had a 5 course meal plus dessert (and eating lasted 6 hours and everyone just chatted chatted chatted. It was amazing).

They also made little ceramics for each of their guests. Gloria is an artist and does pottery, painting, and more! (check out her Instagram).

The next day, they had brunch with their family, and then we did another portrait session in more casual clothes and new locations. This session is something anyone can add on to my services, or use the Opulent package additional 2 hours, to do!
