A CATHOLIC WEDDING IN ILLINOIS OVERFLOWING WITH UNCONDITIONAL LOVE CELEBRATED AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH AND BUTTERFIELD COUNTRY CLUB.
Alyssa & Tim met way back in grade school, and it shows. The forehead kisses, comfy deep hugs, and sense of peace these two have with each other is from years of love. They had their summer church wedding at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Just weeks away from their wedding, Alyssa developed a rare complication from the shingles virus that left her with hearing loss, balance issues, and paralysis in one side of her face. Although she was unable to do more than a soft smile, she still wanted to walk into their wedding day with hope and positivity. It was such a rare public testimony to loving each other “in sickness and in health” and to the hope and peace that really only happen when we are in submission to the Father’s will, especially in frustration and difficulty.
The guys’ getting ready space was stunning. A family house styled clean white mixed with fun brick accents is always a win in my book.
This church & this couple were incredibly (and I mean WOW) beautiful, and nothing could stop their love from being visible to everyone in attendance. Their hope and trust in the Lord is inspirational.

This moment (among many others) is one of my favorites of a summer church wedding. Everyone celebrating, smiling, hugging, and joyful as the bride and groom start their new vocations, together.
The Butterfield Country Club is a stunning venue for your wedding reception. Alyssa and Tim took advantage of their outdoor area for a cocktail hour and brought everyone inside for the remainder of the night.
The details inside of the reception were *chefs kiss*. The Polaroid guest book, pearl decorated cake, cake cutlery with a butterfly on it (!!), floral arrangements by Design de Flores, and the incredibly detailed golden wallpaper.
The way that Tim cared for & loved Alyssa in the midst of untimely illness & the way that Alyssa moved with so much grace and hope on their wedding day inspired me and so many of their loved ones.
Shortly after Alyssa and Tim’s wedding day, we were able to do a re-shoot of their bridal portraits so Alyssa could show off her full beautiful smile, and gown from Love Theory Bridal. The couple was relaxed and (if even humanly possible) even more smitten with each other than on their wedding day.
